And in the good news department...
Sep. 7th, 2008 11:51 amSo before heading to Montreal on Friday to attend Corey's grandmother's funeral, we went to the ultrasound clinic to get a peek at Zanzibar.
She is beautiful. And wiggling all around in very baby-like ways, which intellectually you know they're doing (because all the books tell you so) but is still astonishing to see in real time. In addition to a four-chambered heart, a backbone, ribs, and toes and fingers - the tech said everything looked perfect - we saw her yawn and kick her feet up over her head. It must be boring in there.
Tomorrow, hopefully, I will get a chance to scan some pictures to post. It is bizarre how the whole experience made this seem much more real and much more surreal at the same time.
