Studio time tonight! I'm working on the closet panel for our bedroom, which involves branches, leaves and apples. Got about half of it cut out before I had to head home. It's fairly straightforward, but will be stunning, largely because of glass serendipity - I had been planning to use some leftover yogi glass for the apples, since it was a nice appropriate red-with-occasional-green-streaks, but it turned out my scraps were mostly too small for the purpose. So I went hunting through my boxes and discovered another red yogi that was even better: a darker streaky red with a nice subtle and natural-looking texture.
Lesson learned: never hesitate to buy fantastic colours from the yogi discount box at the glass store, even if I don't have an immediate purpose for them, because their gorgeousness will always turn out to be perfect for SOMETHING eventually.
Failed to get to yoga yet again today. My motivation has been sort of set back by how grumpy Rose was on Monday after I had to roust her out of bed a few hours earlier than usual to get to my doctor's appointment. (Although she did set a new record on Monday night by sleeping for NINE HOURS STRAIGHT. Clearly she is SuperZoodle!) She seemed tired and grumpy today anyway - all she really wanted to do was eat and be held until she fell asleep. I think I will try adding one more iteration of putting her back to bed in the morning tomorrow and see if that helps. Also it's supposed to be nice out, so she can have a nice long snooze in the stroller and/or sling while I run errands/walk by the river/do yardwork.
