For some reason I've had the Battle Hymn of the Republic stuck in my head for the last couple hours. No idea where that came from. Especially because I don't really know the words. I know it starts out Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord, He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored...but what pops into my head afterwards is He's got ten thousand hit points and a plus ten vorpal sword. And that just can't be right.

You realize, of course, that "And that just can't be right" actually scans with the next part of the song, don't you? :-D

Yeah, mine always turns into "Pink Pyjamas," which means that I end up with "and sometimes in the springtime, and sometimes in the fall, I jump into my little bed, with nothing on at all."

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword
His truth is marching on

That really does sound like a filk, the next line you're remembering. It fits the rhythm too well to be an accident. :) Alas, its makers have not immortalized it on the internet.
