Sweet, sweet weekend. You may be full of insane frantic glass catch-up, but I love you anyway.
Last night, for instance, after flute choir and meeting up briefly with Lisa since it was Dante's first birthday, I spent a few hours baking fused ornaments and cutting out a penrose tiling, and then was up until stupid o'clock getting thoroughly absorbed in the last few episodes of Dexter. I would have finished my foiling, too, except I got so wrapped up in the show I actually forgot about it for a while. It's about a serial killer who hunts down other serial killers - like, imagine if Hannibal was starring in CSI - and has an overarching plot that turns downright gripping at the end. I had trouble getting into it at first; it takes a while for the show to really find its balance between revolting and sympathetic, but once it does, it's pretty riveting.
So now I am tired, but nonetheless up and showered and reasonably alert, so I am off to solder and chop and grind. Hopefully this weekend I will complete a largish penrose tiling, three candleholders, another tree, and another couple of fused ornaments, and two boxes. I am skeptical about my ability to finish my planned gothic arch mirror, but I will at least get it going. Up, up and awaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

What are your thoughts on drinks/Happy Hour burgers this week? I don't have anything scheduled, I don't think, but Monday or Wednesday are probably best in terms of having stuff ready to foil :p
