(no subject)

When I described our baby sleep issues to my sister-in-law in Montreal, she forwarded me a PDF copy of a book called "The Sleep Sense Program". From this I learned that babies Rose's age should be going to bed between 6 and 7 PM, which is an hour earlier than where our routine had settled. So we decided to try putting her to bed an hour earlier, and designated Corey to do the controlled crying routine when she woke up in the middle of the night (since she knows perfectly well she doesn't get milk from him).

So for the last two nights she's gone to bed at 6:30...and slept all night. No further sleep training necessary.

NO WAY is it that easy. We'll see...

Oh, rock on!

I hope it *is* that easy!

Three cheers for a full night's sleep! (Two even! :-D)

That must feel SO good! :-D

yeah, I had a few weeks of poor sleeping from the Gus, and between rice cereal at night, a more elaborate bed time routine, and starting the routine between 6:30pm and 7:00pm - things are much better again.

I'm glad you two found tricks that work.

Non-Mom comment. Sometimes, it IS that easy. Basically, with babies, sometimes they'll cry and cry and cry and then you discover that they just want to be held upside down by their ankles (something you thought you'd tried but you had apparently never thought of) and that is all the baby needs. The baby immediately lapses into happy, playful moods followed by long naps.

And you?

Are dumbfounded.

WAS IT REALLY THAT EASY ALL ALONG?
