Jan. 20th, 2007 10:30 amWell, the superintendant lady is going to have words with some of our neighbours, whose doorstep was the end of a very clear set of footprints through the fresh snow in our yard. Hahahahaaa! I was tempted to ring their doorbell myself last night, but I'm not very effective when I'm angry, and the super is pretty formidable. Although it's not clear that this will actually teach the fuckers anything except not to leave such an obvious trail. Well, between this and our recent fortifications, we'll see if there's a decrease in traffic, anyway - this makes four times this week.
Killing time before going for Timmy's breakfast and gov't tests. I ground a few pieces of the peony panel. Got an email telling me that Art in the Park is June 2 and 3 this year, but unless I really get my ass in gear my prospects of showing there are pretty dim. Let's see...between February and June there are 18 weeks. If I manage a largeish panel every 3 weeks I'll have a total of 7. Mirrors take less time because a lot of the surface area is just mirror, and even an extremely straightforward design can look awesome. And suncatchers...need lots of these, so as to have stuff that someone with a little cash in hand can snap up; most of the problem there is just inspiration and patterns. My mother-in-law suggests staying away from boxes, as people will have less room for tchochkes on shelves than they have for things to hang on their walls and in their windows. Have to say I'd be glad of the excuse not to have to fiddle with a zillion stupid hinges, at least not until I'm better at it.
Thing is I also got an email saying Savoy will be starting up soon, and that was a great big time gobbler last year...between that and French class, I don't know if I'll have enough time to hack through all of this. Well, I can but try, and if worst comes to worst I will just take what I've got and hawk it at Kaleidoscope. So there.
Anyway, off I go...send me good administrative vibes!
