I sold two large pieces and two suncatchers (one of these last to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
briela - thank you!!), which puts me within $100 or $200 of my goal of financing a kiln and paints. I got a ton of compliments (which really was the best part). All kinds of people took business cards, including five or six who said they were building/renovating homes and might want pieces built to suit. There were at least a couple of people who seemed very interested in largish pieces who might be back tomorrow.
Big thank you toxnuala, amazon_syren, renegadelufin, briela, Jill, Chris, Scott and Mylan, all of whom came to visit me!
Of note:
* the cathedral trees sold within the first hour of the day, despite their size and price tag, and continued to attract a ton of attention all day.
* I need to find out if/how I can make this stuff weatherproof, since a couple people asked about it.
* I need a website, since a couple people asked after one.
* My prices are low. I need to fix this next time - nobody will be helped by my undercutting the market.
To bring tomorrow:

* little table
Corey was a hero all day, helping me set up, subbing in for me so I could take bathroom breaks, bringing me stuff, and buying me a pair of earrings from another vendor "to mark the occasion". ♥ ♥ ♥ My parents were pretty heroic too, helping set up, bringing donuts and tea, and dropping by with encouragement/congratulations every now and again.
We got home around 7, whereupon I had a cold shower and waged brief but productive weed wars in the garden. Something is wrong with one of my peonies - from what the internet tells me I'm pretty sure it's botrytis, so I'd better go buy a fungicide. But for now I am in bed with a Miles Vorkosigan book and a strongbow.
