So my boss, bless her soul, generously granted me the day off to deal with all the crap that needs to get done before moving day.

Sooooooo, To Do:

* eat large quantities of breakfast
* haul lights and fans over to house
* tear up basement carpet
* send Corey for: cheapass laminate (in stock, yay!), foam, and vapour barrier; wallpaper scorer thingy and sponges; sally ann sheets for dropcloths (he can drop off our clothes castoffs while he's there)
* if I'm massively lucky and nothing goes heinously awry, start laying down laminate
* finish taping bedrooms and attack wallpaper border in last bedroom
* this evening: with help of parents, paint bedrooms

RIGHT...8AM approacheth! Up, up and awaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!

*cracks knuckles*

So freakin tired. So much left to do. AUGH. Why do I have to be in the office tomorrow???

Short version: Getting rid of carpet = big success. The basement already smells better. Laminate will be gorgeous, even if it is cheapass, but cutting it by hand is slooowwwwww and a gigantic pain in the ass and I seem to be lacking the widgets the instructions recommend to accomplish the snap-lock action along both horizontal and vertical lines. Corey is going to pester Ikea for said widgets tomorrow and also rent me a chop saw, and then hopefully this will go faster tomorrow night. If I have to do the moldings later, I can deal with that, but the bulk of the floor has to be down by moving day.

Two rooms are primed, to be painted over the next couple days. Must get master bedroom finished because furniture is massive and will never move again once it's there; the rest of them can keep if absolutely necessary, we'll just pile stuff in the middle of the room.

Urgh. Bed. Will deal with this more tomorrow.
