(no subject)

I am starting to recognize this point in my recharge cycle where I'm recovered enough to be kind of bored and restless with doing nothing at all (which has been the name of the game for the last few days) but not yet enough to feel like doing much of anything. I have my 36-week appointment with the doctor in about an hour (and an appointment every week thereafter until Rose arrives...how surreal) and after that I may do some baby-stuff shopping while I'm in the neighbourhood. Otherwise I think I will spend the evening reading the new Ursula LeGuin book that Corey got me for christmas.

What I SHOULD be doing is all the stuff I wanted to pack into January before the baby gets here...hanging up pictures, framing pictures, designing and chopping glass. Maybe I'll stop by Wallack's in the next few days and see what they charge for mats...the problem being that I don't reeeeeeeeeally have $$$ to throw at projects just now. I guess I should start with the puttering-around-the-house stuff first...especially given that I had better be caught up with the laundry in the next few weeks, because god knows there's going to be a metric ton of it coming soon enough.

Bah. Tomorrow. First, I snooze.

Timewasteage ahoy!

Over the holidays, my sisters tracked down the fan remake of Quest for Glory II and put it on my computer. I am intrigued, but it seemed pointless to start a character from nothing when you could import one already all buff and skillztastic from the previous game. Sooooo I downloaded Quest for Glory I and it is every bit as awesome as I remember, despite my getting killed by a mantray my first night out. My QFG strategeez they are rusty, I fear.

I also shelled out to download Civ IV, which I hear has neat touches like actual religion and stuff. Between this and teh vintage Sierra, I think I will be able to keep myself wonderfully and pointlessly entertained for a few days.

The only thing missing is a glass of wine. For now I will settle for tea.
