Oct. 5th, 2009 12:25 pmRose is asleep and I don't feel like packing, therefore I post.
Will be seeking quotes in the next little while for various home maintenance issues - cleaning and repairing the eavestroughs, which are leaking and so full of dirt they're growing plants; adding insulation to the attic and possibly elsewhere, which will hopefully address the failure of heating and AC to do much of anything upstairs; inspection, servicing, and cleaning of furnace, which may also help with the previous problem. These are all oddly satisfying to tackle, considering that the differences they make will be totally invisible - feeling all On Top Of Things somewhat makes up for that, I guess.
All these actual functional fixes should really come before that damn carpet runner. (They ought to have come before the kitchen too, I suppose, but the kitchen drives me insane the way it is, which lends it priority.) I don't even know if the runner we like is still available; they seem to switch them up every several months. If it's still there maybe I should just throw it on the PLC and be done with it...but the functional stuff should really come first. Grrr. We'll see what it all adds up to, I guess.
Blehhhhh I suppose I should start another box going. At least I only have to pack the one room.
