Apr. 2nd, 2010 09:33 pmLong weekend is off to a good start. I have been seriously pining for project time, to the point of being kind of strung out and depressed, and over the course of four days I may actually get enough of it to feel somewhat refreshed. Here's hoping.
Today I made rewarding progress on the front yard (including prepping the new garden bed and tidying up the previous ones a bit), took the Zoodle downtown with Corey for a walk around Parliament Hill and some ice cream in the market, and went for a 25-minute bike ride. In said 25 minutes I covered a little less than 5km, which means if I can get so I can sustain that speed for an hour (...groan) I will be able to bike to work. To this end I will aim to keep it up for another 5 minutes every time I go out, so tomorrow it will be a 30-minute bike ride. Mind you I may not be able to move tomorrow morning, so I guess we'll see how well that works out.
Tomorrow my evil plan is to take the Zoodle to Ritchie's with me to pick up grass and clover seed (and see if I can't get some topsoil delivered on Monday), spend as much time outside as possible (with sunscreen on this time), and make some paprika chicken for dinner. And bike for 30 minutes somewhere in there. During naptime I may attempt to kick my butt out to the studio, too.
