quit work make crafts

So far this morning I have made a batch of my uncle's ingenious cooked-egg-nog, which I can safely keep in the fridge until doomsday, and further plans include christmas shopping with my mom, going to see The Golden Compass, and making latkes. Woo!

Tomorrow I am hoping to venture out cross-country skiing with my parents, provided I can find skis in their garage (or rent a pair) and the weather is not too vicious. There is a glorious amount of snow outside and I plan to take full advantage of it this year!!

Today:

* Earnest discussion of Buffy vs. Babylon 5 over delicious breakfast for 2 at the new Cora's (just down Richmond from us - I can hear my wallet wailing already...)

* 3 dozen triangles, or thereabouts: for once I have almost succeeded in actually using an entire package of phyllo pastry!

* Live Free Or Die Hard, which was as much goofy explody fun as advertised, although not as good as #3 and rather more politically fraught

* Lovely dinner party chez amazon_syren, involving delicious cuisine and earnest discussion of many topics ranging from robot chicken to religion


Tomorrow:

* Sleep in

* Groceries

* More cooking, possibly including cookies

* Work on christmas glass project designs

* Tassels on Harry Potter scarf

Come up with goddamn french presentation
Go to write-in, because I am determined to at least get a good start on this year's attempt
Finish cutting neighbour's lamp and grind as much as possible
