The Zoodle is within a few inches of being too big for both the crib and the change table. So a couple weeks ago we hatched an evil plan: replace the change table with a "big girl bed", upon which we can change her bum with the aid of waterproof change mats, and we can gradually transition to her sleeping there.

So today after nursing her to sleep I put her down in the big girl bed to nap. It has a guard rail, so she won't accidentally roll out of it, although it won't keep her from falling out if she decides to bounce around once she wakes up. We'll see how it goes. The evil plan is that, provided she doesn't launch herself over the guard rail or anything, she can nap there this week, and eventually we'll try putting her down there for the night.

On to naptime agenda, namely Jane Austen and chocolate.

Tell me, O local flist, does anybody have a lead for me on someone whom I could pay to switch a light fixture? Not that a light fixture is hard to switch, but the one in question is at an intimidating enough height and awkward enough place (above the stairs, and situated such that you'd have to lean out from the ladder to wrestle with it) that I am reluctant to tackle it myself. And I'd have to shell out to rent/transport a big enough ladder anyway.
