OK, so now I'm waiting for a response on three or four different fronts, and the suspense is killing meeeeee! Somebody had better give me news soon!
Crazy productivity today: foiled a suncatcher, ground all the pieces for a panel, and came up with an orchid design. I originally got onto the computer to scan said design, but of course LJ sucked me in. Plan is to scan the pattern, play some flute, and solder the suncatcher before getting to bed at a decent hour. How's that for ambition??
My mom had an extra ticket to the NAC last night, so I got to go see the Kodo drummers, which was a pretty spectacular show. It was like a combination of music, martial arts, and dance. Twelve people who weren't even looking at each other, weaving these incredibly complex rhythms, all EXACTLY in time, with a great sense of humour and showmanship. Mom brought binoculars, so we got the added bonus of gawking at muscly men in various stages of undress - although I will say that wailing away on that big drum looked like enough work to warrant a loincloth. I think mom's interest was more professional, but I was entertained, anyway. ;)
