Hahahahaaaaaa. Take that, fiddly bits! I think I'm actually getting better at this. Although that doesn't help me much this week, what with tomorrow getting eaten by french class/flute choir concert/super top secret birthday present for Corey. I am grossly underprepared for the final exam in said french class, but I may volunteer to go first tomorrow anyway, if only to get a bit of extra time at home. Well, I should at least be able to get everything foiled by the end of the weekend.
Up, up and awaaaaayyyyyyyyyy!

Date: 2007-04-15 12:47 am (UTC)Such as: Very simple little leaves or flowers or crescent moons, or something, with round bits of magnet (Michael's again) on the back. Priced at, like, $2/magnet. Or something.
I recognize that it's not a form that stained glass really shines in, due to the lack of light coming from a fridge-door surface, but it might work.
Just a thought. :-)

Date: 2007-04-15 03:55 am (UTC)I have, in fact, not considered trying it for myself.
Basically, I hate cleaning (and little glass bits all over the place definitely require cleaning), and I have my hands all over my face (including rubbing my eyes) all the time. I think I would probably hurt myself very, very badly without too much difficulty.
So no. No glass-work (at least not where cutting is concerned) for me.
Glue-gunning glass blobs onto somethign else? -- Like making, say, a glue-gunned star-burst or fire-works display on the inside of a window-pane? That's a different story (and feel free to snag that idea, too, if you want it). But the cutting and grinding of glass (and the subsequent cornea dammage I would surely inflict upon myself) are not such a good thing, I don't think.
Re: Gluegunning magnets onto glass: I think it would probably work. I got the idea because I was over at Bronwyn's today, and she's got these two little tiny (like 2cmx1cm or so) glass frog magnets that she just adores. (And I thought: "Hey! That's glass. Ami makes stuff with glass. If she made super-simple stuff of this size out of glass, she could whip up, like, a dozen of these magnets really easily, and sell them for really low prices. Plus, hey, it would use up scraps of glass that might be too small to use in sun-catchers and so on. I shall pass that along". :-)
Anyway, the glass frogs are, I'm pretty sure, glued to the little magnets. Quite securely, no less. So I *think* it can be done. :-)
Andthere you have it. :-)
It is now five minutes to midnight (by my clock) so I have to go to bed. :-)
- TTFN,

Date: 2007-04-15 06:03 pm (UTC)Then again I am sort of possessed by the zeal of the newly converted when it comes to this (i.e. "OMG EVERYONE SHOULD TRY THIS YOU WILL LOVE IT!") so take me with a grain of salt ;)
And my scrap box is certainly getting full, so the magnet thing might be an excellent solution! Thanks! :D
