sexy_romulanSweet, sweet Harry Potter satisfaction. OH is it sweet. I got so absorbed in the climactic scenes waiting for my bus home that I didn't notice the bus until it went right past me. Waiting for the next one was OK, though, because it left more time for READING.
The show is also done! There were rather more frustrations involved than in Art in the Park, namely a stall on pavement - I was ass lucky that the 10" nails securing the racks still fit through the cracks - and problems with my display equipment. The new tent, although much more attractive than the last one, was stupidly flimsy - every gust of wind threatened to send it over. I didn't even bother setting it up again for the second day. Also one of the racks collapsed due to the failure of a plastic piece. I may be able to replace the broken pieces in two of the items that were hanging on that rack, but the grapes were smashed into pieces. I guess you can only expect so much from a $10 rack from Zellers...must find a better system than those rickety fucking things! Still, all in all, the show felt like a success - I sold a few small things and thus made a little more than the entrance fee back again (after buying an incredibly cool little multimedia painting from another artist). Plus one of my bosses from CSPS came by to chat and buy stuff. How cool is that??
I also got a lead on ANOTHER show, this one in Strathcona park in three weeks. It's supposed to be very well-known and well-attended, and it won't take me much to stock up...hmmmmmmmmm!
