Also: the ship panel is all fixed! You'd never know it was ever broken! I also successfully removed two broken pieces from the celtic square, but must get more glass in order to replace them.

The grapes, alas, are beyond repair. That's what I get for making something so delicate. I might see if I can at least prise the broken green pieces away from the purple blobs and reuse those sections; they were pretty freakin labor intensive.

To my pagan friends: any suggestions as to what kind of suncatchers you might like to see? I am making stock for Kaleidoscope this week. Alternatively, anyone know a community or two that wouldn't mind being polled for ideas?

It ocurres to me that, in theory, you could make stained glass jewelry.
Although presumably that theory falls apart once it comes to wearing lead-based solder against one's actual skin. Yes? :-)

I don't *think* the lead is a particular issue as far as just skin contact goes, but for something you're going to be touching it all the time (and then using your hands to put things to your mouth, fer example), it's probably not a good idea. There's lead-free solder, mind you, but when you get down to it solder lines are just not really delicate enough once your finished object gets smaller than a certain size...fused glass lends itself much better to that kind of thing, I think.
