In the madness that will be the next few days, do not forget to:

* scout around for a bulletin board
* bring pics of previous work home from the office
* print copies of Art in the Park flyer to spam neighbours with
* assemble pattern/inspiration books and worden pamphlet for potential customers to look at
* check into how exactly to use those freaking credit card slips
* make checklist of stuff to bring, including sample box

I don't think most people expect AitP vendors to take credit cards, it being a grassroots kind of operation. I got hooked up this year through the Cumberland Arts & Crafts Guild (http://www.cumberlandartscrafts.org), which offers members a pretty phenomenal deal on credit card services. Last year when I looked into this the bank wanted $200 in fees for one day, so I said to hell with it...but with the guild, I just pay my $35 membership fee, $10 for a pack of credit card slips, and haul my butt out to the east end for a meeting once a month. There are transaction fees, but they're minimal (Something like 2%?) Pretty sweet!
