sexy_romulanI went to bed at 8PM last night. Wow. Sleep helps everything. I feel light years better this morning and I haven't even taken my medicine yet.
Corey is still dead to the world, alas, so I think I will head to Cora's for home and garden scheming over breakfast. A Lee Valley hardware catalogue would be a good companion for that - they have some killer kitchen cupboard improvements that I'd like to cast an eye over - but since I don't *think* I have one in my pile and the store is closed on Sundays I'm probably out of luck on that score.
Stuff on my house wish list, short(er) term:
* crazy Lee Valley pull-out pantry organizer of doom
* another glass-door Ikea cabinet for dining room
* some sort of attractive bathroom storage
* new light fixtures and drapes, I guess...I don't really care very much about this kind of stuff, mostly because I don't really have an eye for improving it, but I have to admit that what's there does kind of date the place. Dining room lampshade I would like to make myself, but god alone knows when I'll get to it.
* laminate flooring to replace carpet in main room in basement - have a feeling this would probably improve its lingering mustiness
Maybe I will drop by Home Despot again this morning...I should pick up paint anyway. Also when I head over to the house I will bring a trowel and start digging up all those damn wood violets in the front garden - that will make rather a lot of space pretty quickly.
