Among our recent baby-related purchases: an actual useful digital camera. I've been puttering around with it the last half hour or so, testing out its abilities to capture cats and glass and tree branches and icing lilies. OMG, it actually FOCUSES on stuff, even when the stuff in question is close up, and - although I'm still figuring out just how to control this function - if it focuses on the wrong stuff, as our previous little crappy camera was wont to do, you can tell it to focus on OTHER stuff. Revolutionary, I tell you!
