My life, it is full of awesome

Today:
I had a long, snuggly mid-morning nap with Rose.
I went to the studio and soldered the apple panel. I brought it home to check whether I had enough room to put a frame on it, and lo and behold, it is going to be gorgeous in its intended space. I'll post pictures when it's all finished and set up. One of the leaves cracked during soldering, which had me swearing a lot, but when the panel is in place the crack isn't even visible.
I bundled Rose into the sling and she snoozed peacefully for a couple of hours while I schemed and raked up pine needles in the yard. More on said schemes shortly!
I had expressed some milk for Corey to give Rose while I was at the studio, but as it turned out the soldering didn't take all that long, so I was home by the time she got hungry. So I said, hey, why don't we put that milk to good use and see if we can go out tonight? So we called up Corey's mom, who was in fact available to babysit, and scooted out for sushi, wine, and chocolate cake in the market. Getting out of the house in such flying-by-the-seat-of-our-pants last-minute fashion was downright exhilarating.
So we had a lovely date night, and then we got home to a baby all full of googly smiles, and I drew shapes for her at the dining room table for a while. It had her very absorbed until she (adorably) nodded off.
And now I am sitting in bed with the laptop, uploading garden pictures. Yep. In summary: AWESOME.
