And the distinguished title of First Vegetable Rose Did Not Hate goes tooooooooo...
...butternut squash!
She ate as much of it at a sitting tonight as she usually does cereal. And then she ate some cereal too. And now her father is giving her a bath, because she was covered in orange goo from belly to eyebrows.
Also, I bookmark this handy site, which has all kinds of helpful ideas for make-your-own baby food, including cereals.

Date: 2009-08-15 06:33 am (UTC)Incidentally I get the impression that squash is one of the easiest vegetables to make-your-own-baby-food with. I mean, I only have super basic recipe books and I know at least one of them has a recipe for squash-for-babies. I vaguely recall it involves mixing cooked squash with apple sauce.
