sexy_romulanPlumbing rough-in today - yay for no more pipes winding through the base cabinets!
Also yay for having totally struck gold with our contractors so far. Electrician and plumber/gas guy both have been prompt, swift, super-courteous, professional, bang-on with estimates, and very careful about the house (the plumber even filled up the cats' water fountain when he heard it gurgling!) Colour me impressed. Here's hoping it continues to go this smoothly.
Tonight: insulation! I did about 2/3 of one wall last night in about 1h, so I am confident we can blitz through the rest plus vapour barrier after the baby is in bed for the night. (Wish I could be working on it now while she's napping, but given that I'd need to change clothes and shower before picking her up, that's not really feasible.) Tomorrow the drywall arrives, and on the weekend UP IT GOES.
